Another Biketoberfest® Goes Down in the Record Books!!!
Oh my gosh, what can we say but a great big THANK YOU to all the bikers who rode out this year for the 2008 edition of this great American event.
What a great time we all had too with lots of fun and festivities. We saw incredible bikes, met some of the nicest people and really renewed our belief in the American way - getting out, traveling freely across this great nation while feeling the wind in your hair and that great freedom of the open road. Mother Nature took care of us too with lots of beautiful weather throughout the whole weekend.
We want to see your photo's and videos of the good times that were had, so be sure to post away on our blog.

Now don't you wish you were here too? Well you can be next year. Remember Biketoberfest® 2009 is only a few months away.
If you were here, we know you'll want to be back. If you missed it this year, never fear, here's the dates for next year ...
Biketoberfest® Official Dates October 15 - 18th, 2009
Can't wait that long? Then remember Bike Week in Daytona Beach will be here before you know it too! Be sure to check out our sister site www.BikerBeach.com for details.
Until next time, ride safe and thanks again to all who made it out for one heck of a good time in Daytona Beach, Florida.
New Law Takes Effect October 1
We wanted to be sure to let you know that a new law has been passed by the State of Florida concerning motorcycle riding - HB 137 requires that riders keep both wheels on the ground or face stiff penalties. The law also includes language that prohibits vertical placement of license plates.
With over 5000 vendors; 200,000 bikes and 100's of events and activities throughout the entire area, you've just gotta be here! Officially scheduled for October 15-18, 2009 right here in the Daytona Beach area, Biketoberfest® is an event that's loved by people who love to ride. With so many beautiful and unique motorcycles from all over the world here, you'll be captivated by all the bling. And the people, oh yes. Some of the best folks in the world come out too which is what makes the event so much fun! So come on now we think you deserve some time to get out and have some rockin good times.

Once here you'll want to be sure to head on over to the ultra popular Main Street in Daytona Beach. This famous bikers' playground has hosted celebrities, international guests and media from across the globe. It just wouldn't be Biketoberfest® without a stroll down this mega famous street. Once there you're likely to see anything and everything from spectacular, high-end custom bikes to the latest, goofiest rat bikes on the planet. And vendors, vendors, vendors are everywhere selling the most unique items and food offerings around. Plus you'll love stopping by the famous bars of Main Street, many of which have been around for decades -- serving bikers across all generations, from World War II to today's Millennials. Be sure to get your favorite Main Street t-shirt too, or take a fundraising tour of the historic Pine Wood Cemetary. You just never know what you'll see on Main Street in Daytona Beach, but one thing is for sure - it will be well worth your trip as you'll have stories for all your friends and family back home, for sure! Did we mention parking on the street is FREE! While those spaces are red hot there are several more lots close by that charge a minimal fee (mostly for charity fundraising) that also allow you to go in and out all day the day you pay.

You'll definitely want to plan a visit to Daytona International Speedway too! Did you know that it was the motorcycle races that started all the bike rally fun to begin with? Yes, it is said that a hundred or so years ago these motorcycle races -- which back then were held right on the beach -- drew the largest crowds of spectators. It was such a popular annual event that folks came from far and wide to see these daredevils take to the sands and surf at record-breaking speeds. The crowds screamed with enthuiasm as these early racers put on a spectacular show. Even today these guys on super fast, super powerful bikes take some incredible chances as they pit man and machine against the famed high banks and corkskrew turns of Daytona International Speedway. But racing is not all you can expect at the Speedway, as each year Kickstand City slides into high gear with live entertainment, demo rides and plenty of track side activities sure to entertain you during your visit. Plus parking on the entire Speedway property is FREE! With acres and acres of space you're sure to find a spot perfect for you and your whole crew too!

We can go on and on, but we'll run out of room before we run out of cool stuff to report on the event. You'll also want to add your name to our mailing lists so you can receive our printed and electronic newsletters, postcards and more.
